Three Refuges

On such Full-Moon Uposatha Poya Observance days: Any Lay Buddhist simply joins the Three Refuges- Black clothed, with clean feet, one kneels at a shrine with a Buddha-statue, and bows first three times, so that feet, hands, elbows, knees & head touch the floor. Then, with joined palms at the heart, one recites these memorized lines in a loud, calm & steady voice: As long as this life lasts: I hereby take refuge in the Buddha. I hereby take refuge in the Dhamma. I hereby take refuge in the Sangha. I hereby seek shelter in the Buddha for the 2nd time. I hereby seek shelter in the Dhamma for the 2nd time. I hereby seek shelter in the Sangha for the 2nd time. I hereby request protection from the Buddha for the 3rd time. I hereby request protection from the Dhamma for the 3rd time. 31th August is the first time I enjoy this show Coco Before Chanel with my second Brother and Sister-in-law, since it fall on Monday the GV Senior Citizen Movie Card put down double stamps for me to enjoy a free bottle of chicken essence after six stamp collection. This show is about the success of an orphan, abandoned by her father.

The Ullambana Celebration held at 11am.at TMBS is to practise filial piety by transferring the merits of venerating the Buddha and making offering to the Sangha at the religious ceremony to our ancestors.Afternoon a get together with close friends at Orchard Country Club having karaok and massage from waterfall pool.Coincidence today is another friend birth day.

Noah's Ark

Fund raising for kid in Noah's Ark CDC at Bukit Panjang on 22 May. Valencia Lim is a happy kid well taken care by staff there. Thanks with much appreciation from parents.

Bumpers

Most people hate to parallel park. The other day, I saw this woman trying to get out of a tight parking space. She'd bump the car in front, then back-up and strike the car behind her. This went on about 2 minutes.

I walked over to see if I could somehow help. My offer was declined though. She said, "Why have bumpers if you're not going to use them once in a while?"
