The Mahaprajna Buddist Society

The Mahaprajna Buddist Society
Motto: Asprise to actualise the ideals of Humanistic Buddhism through the provision of Buddhist education, nurturing talents in the Sangha and upgrading the standard of lay Buddhists.
Mahaprajna means "Great Wisdom", reflects our emphasis on cultivation of wisdom, which signifies that great wisdom adoms all practices and merits.
It's where I took my refuge on Vesak Day and after my completion of the first half year course, which I seek peacefullness。

We are born to love

We are born to love

We are born with two eyes in front

Because we must not always look behind

But see what lies ahead beyond ourselves

We are born to have two ears

One left one right

So we can hear both sides

Collect both the compliments and criticisms

To see which are right?

We are born with a brain concealed in a skull

Then no matter how poor we are

We still are rich

For one can steal what our brain contains

Packing more jewels and rings

Than you can think

We are born with two eyes and two ears

But one mouth

For one mouth is a sharp weapon

It can hurt, flirt and kill

Remember our motto,

Talk less. Listen and see more

We are born with only one heart

Deep in our ribs it reminds us

To appreciate and give

Love from deep within.

2 Jan

"The Knight of Pentacles card suggests that my power today lies in practicality. I plan ahead and consider my options to set priorities or define goals that serve my long-term purpose. My values lay in the potential that often remains unseen by others. I am cautious, steady, optimistic and reliable and have earned the new trust or position that empowers me. My asset is accepting responsibility."
